- What is DigiWallet?
DigiWallet is the most complete mobile wallet solution in Belize. It allows users to send & receive DigiCash. Also, users will be able to pay merchants for goods and services, plus buy their favorite Digi Products all from the convenience of their mobile device.
- How secure is DigiWallet?
The DigiWallet solution is very secure, providing enhanced security as opposed to traditional cash transactions. To perform transactions using DigiWallet requires the input of a 6-digit PIN; this PIN is unique to each subscriber.
A subscriber can at any point request the suspension of their DigiWallet account if they suspect their PIN may have been compromised or they can change their PIN within the Mobile Application at any time.
After 3 failed login attempts the account is barred and can only be activated by the DigiWallet account subscriber using the Customer Support Channels.

- How is DigiWallet different from other wallets in the market?
One key difference is that in addition to our easy-to-use mobile app, users can access DigiWallet via USSD by dialing *2274# (*CASH#) – this means that you can access the app without a mobile data or internet connection; applicable for Digi subscribers only.
DigiWallet also offers unique features not available on other local wallets such as the ability to purchase and send Digi TopUp, and Products.
- Who can register to use DigiWallet?
Anyone over the age of 18 with a valid identification card (Social Security or Passport) and an active DigiCell or Smart mobile number can register for DigiWallet.
- How do I register to use DigiWallet as a subscriber?
You can self-register by downloading the “DigiWallet” Mobile app from your respective App Store. For users who don’t have a data capable smart phone, will need to register at any of our 13 Digi Stores located countrywide.
Note: Be sure to have your mobile device and valid identification document handy to complete the registration process.
- Do I need to have a bank account to register or use DigiWallet?
No, you are not required to have a bank account to register or use DigiWallet.
- Can I register for more than one DigiWallet account?
As a subscriber you are only allowed access to one (1) DigiWallet account. Remember your ID number and mobile number are unique identifiers and cannot be used to register a second account.
- Can I sign up for DigiWallet with a SIM from another country?
No, DigiWallet is only available locally in Belize; thus, subscribers must register with a local Mobile SIM.
- Can I use DigiWallet if I don’t have a smart phone or if I don’t have access to the internet?
For users who don’t have a data capable smart phone, subscribers will need to register via a Digi Store, thereafter they will be able to access DigiWallet via USSD by dialing *2274# (*CASH#).
- What type of transactions can I conduct?
Subscribers can access the following:
- Cash In/Out at a Digi Store
- Purchase Digi TopUp or Digi Products for yourself or others
- Pay your Bill (Digi) for yourself or others
- Send & Receive DigiCash
- Pay Merchants for goods and services
- What are the transaction fees?
The transaction fees are dependent on the type of transaction. All fees are displayed in the Mobile App/USSD before confirming your transaction. By confirming your transaction this indicates acceptance of the fees displayed.
- What are my DigiWallet transaction limits?
Once registered, you automatically can access the Silver Wallet (lowest level) which allow you to transact up to $500 monthly. To upgrade your wallet, you can visit any Digi Store located countrywide. When requesting an upgrade, you will be required to present a recent job letter along with your valid social security card to make this request. If you have these documents handy, you can also submit them through the DigiWallet Mobile App and a DWL personnel will contact you to complete the verification process; this takes approximately five (5) business days.
- Where can I use DigiWallet?
You can conveniently use DigiWallet anytime, anywhere.
- You can send and receive money to and from another registered DigiWallet user.
- You can cash-out or cash-in your DigiCash at any authorized Agent countrywide.
- You can pay bills and make payments for purchases, in person or online, to any authorized Merchant countrywide. For a full list of authorized DigiWallet Merchants click here.
- Can I use DigiWallet to conduct international transactions?
No, at this time all transactions are limited to registered Subscribers, Agents and Merchants located within Belize.
- How do I add DigiCash to my wallet?
You can visit any authorized Agent located countrywide and request a cash in to your DigiWallet. They will process a cash-in transaction to add a specific amount of DigiCash to your DigiWallet account. You will need to provide the Agent with the same value in cash. - How do I take out DigiCash from my wallet?
You can visit any authorized Agent located countrywide and request a cash out to your DigiWallet. They will process a cash-out transaction for a specific amount of DigiCash to be deducted from your DigiWallet account. For a full list of authorized Agents click here.
Coming soon, you will be able to fund your DigiWallet directly from your bank account.
- Does my DigiWallet account or my funds expire?
No. However, after 3 months of no activity your DigiWallet account will be deemed inactive. Thereafter, you will need to visit a Digi Store to seek support from a DigiWallet Representative to reactivate your account. You must present your valid ID (Social Security Card or Passport) and the response to your security question used at initial registration. If you have a medium or high wallet size, you will also need to provide a current utility bill.
- How do I change my PIN?
If you have access to your DigiWallet account, you can change your PIN at any time by completing the following process via the DigiWallet app: Go to More>Account>Change PIN.
